Our first season was all in all a great success. We had very few issues throughout the season, and all players improved and enjoyed their teams, and our club as a whole was well receceived. Of course there were some challenges and things that we will improve on moving forward. In the end, our club is a great place to get better (to be continued...)
Top 10 ways to know if you are a GGVB parent ( done Nov 15th 2010)
- 1. You know how to set up and take down a pop-up tent at 7am
- 2. You can pack your sons bag for him before a tournament in 5 minutes, he can do it in 25
- 3. The smell of your sons GGVB jersey and socks make you sick after a long tournament
- 4. You are constantly worried your son is not eating and drinking enough while playing in a tournament
- 5. You proudly wear a black and gold shirt, except in 100 degree Sacramento heat
- 6. You sometimes feel more passionate about the game while watching than your son appears to on the court
- 7. You have grown to love and hate getting in the car to drive yet again to another Tuesday and Thursday training
- 8. You want to chest bump each other after a great play too
- 9. You enjoy watching your coaches facial reactions to the game, and you laugh at them under your breath
- 10. You know how to smile and appreciate how much better your son has become, how much fun they are having
