Going Gold Volleyball club was founded on the principles of integrity: we always strive to do what we say. We also firmly believe our coaches, players, and their families will always strive to work together as one big team to help each other, and improve the success of the club.

GGVB is a boys volleyball club formed in 2010,and led by 2008 Olympic Gold Metalist Gabe Gardner. If you are here for the first time, please take a moment to read the mission statement of the club, and Gabe's vision for the future of boys volleyball in Sacramento.

Why did Gabe Gardner set out to start a boys volleyball club? Gabe formed the club when he saw that the greater Sacramento area needed to expand quality boys club offerings. Gabe realized that it was not about just strengthening an existing girls club, but building boys volleyball from a grass roots level. As a long time player himself, Gabe is confident that the club will be a success from the beginning if boys who would not have normally been interested in volleyball begin to play more often, and in a more competitive enviornment. Gabe also believes nobody will be able to take players to the next level, in a positive enviornment, like Gabe and his staff. Confident that boys volleyball players need more local choices, more refined and experienced coaching, and development of players from an early age in the proper techniques and a positive mentality of success.

Why choose GGVB over other clubs?

1. GGVB was founded for the boys players and their families in the greater Sacramento area and to give back to the sport that has given him so much.  Gabe is happy to invest his time, expertise, and money to the benefit of boys and their families to grow volleyball in the area.
2. GGVB is the most cost effective club in the area. Nobody can compete with us on price.
3. Nobody can match Gabe and his staffs experience and coaching ability. How many other clubs can you be taught by a Gold Medalist, and a college coach, a pro beach player, another area club director?
4. A positive coaching friendly environment.  We conduct volleyball business in a professional manner, and coach using proven positive techniques of teaching.
5.  Gabe and his staff have all the connections. Every college coach knows Gabe and has worked with him on a personal level for years. Gabe is also the USA Volleyball athlete representative to the United States Olympic Committee, representing all volleyball athletes (indoor, beach, boys and girls), and works directly with CEO Doug Beal at USAV on a regular basis.
6. We really know volleyball inside and out. Our staff knows volleyball as well as any, and it committed to providing a fun and positive environment to play.
7. We are the only Boys only club in Sacramento area. We are not promoting a girls club.
